Garde Manger (Prep Chef) at Parkhurst (Eat'nPark Hospitality Group)

My background begins with my love for cooking which has allowed me to cater for large country club groups to more intimate private events (including graduations and weddings.) I also managed and oversaw all operations in my private catering business, "Welcome (Home Chef), and most recently, my love for cooking has propelled me into starting my own nonprofit organization named C.H.E.F. (Cooking to Help Enrich Families)! My goal of this program is to educate people on ways to stretch their food budget during economic hardships or downturns in the economy. I teach them ways to cook smarter, not harder. This organization provides cooking demonstrations at local food pantries, recreation centers, and YWCA’s. C.H.E.F.'s mission is to provide enrichment to families through healthy food that will educate, demonstrate and guide families for a healthier community through lifestyle changes, better food choices and more effective use of food dollars, including families with economic barriers. I was recognized as 2014 Volunteer of the Year by EatN Park Hospitality Group (based out of Pittsburgh, PA). My local news station highlighted my expertise on a segment named "Female Focus" which introduced C.H.E.F. program to the Central Ohio area. My passion is coupled with always wanting to explore new ideas and share my culinary knowledge with others. I love experimenting in the kitchen -- just taste some of my soups and sauces I've kicked up notch through trial & error and a dash of love.
