President & Founder at Show Me How Culinary Services

I had the amazing opportunity of developing my culinary talents by being a part of (and winning) several culinary competitions (think Top Chef) before attending the world's premier culinary school, The Culinary Institute of America. It was at the CIA that I learned how to expand my knowledge, hone my talents, build a solid foundation for memorable experiences and also travel to Italy to be a part of the Rome Sustainable Food Project. My background is ever reaching from the catering company I developed while at the Culinary Institute of America, to working at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria in New York, to Spanish wine bars and German/American beer gardens in the Washington, D.C. area. I have personally catered many events within my career, one of which was for Colin Powell in NYC. I am currently working within the Washington, D.C. area and the surrounding states (including New York) by sharing my passion and experience to teach others how to execute wonderful dishes by offering one-on-one or group cooking lessons. Why spend money on dishes for one night, when you can have the opportunity to learn from a chef and make it time and time again. My expertise is well-versed in building structured culinary operations, events, catering, on-boarding programs and menus for any type of setting. I am also experienced in cookbook writing, food photography, and recipe and menu development. Interested in starting your own backyard garden, but have no idea how to start one? Send me an email and I would be happy to help build and plan your garden with you with my years of building and maintaining backyard gardens. In addition to my culinary services, I teach youth in Washington, D.C. how to properly maintain an organic garden, identify different fruits and vegetables, and also serve as the culinary expert for Thurgood Marshall Academy.
