Share your talents, background and expertise.I was born in Brooklyn, NY, soon after I moved and lived in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti for the next 10 years. Although I respect and enjoy Haitian cuisine as well as other Caribbean cuisines, I ultimately started cooking for myself at the age of 12 due to the lack of diversity in my families home cooking. After moving from Haiti, I permanently settled in Philadelphia, PA. Coincidently my older brother and sister pursued a career in the culinary field. After two years of searching for a cooking job, two days after my 16th birthday my older brother got me a job at a restaurant where he was currently working. Since then I've worked at 7 restaurants and 7 catering companies with experience in various cuisines. I'm currently the Chef & Founding Member at Herban Quality Eats, a healthy fast-casual restaurant due to open this Fall in Philadelphia. Throughout my life I've kept a strict fitness routine and have recently combined my passion for fitness and health with my food knowledge. I strive to promote seasonal, sustainable and healthy eating/cooking alternatives to the masses.
