Share your talents, background and expertise.Chef Ahmad Lutfi has been teaching at the School of Hospitality and Tourism since 2008. Following stints at several establishments, he was named the Chef at the embassy of Finland and subsequently took the reins at the embassy of Denmark. In 2010, ne was named Junior Chef of the Year by the Canadian Culinary Federation. He owned and operated his catering company and later coordinated the Culinary and Pastry Part-Time Studies Program at Algonquin College. He is spending the year 2014/15 in France for professional development. Based in Provence, he has been working at the Michelin starred La Cabro d’Or and L’Esprit de la Violette. Chef Ahmad has practiced culinary arts for over twenty years of extensive globe-trotting. Subsequently, his culinary répertoire is enriched by strong cross-cultural features and multi-ethnic techniques from around the world. He switched careers, having been a political scientist, to become a professionally-qualified chef and graduated with honors from Algonquin College’s Culinary Management Program. Chef Lutfi has his Inter-Provincial Red Seal and is a Certified Trainer for Food Safety. He is strongly committed to the advancement of young chefs and is involved in various initiatives designed to achieve this goal.
